I've been told that if you change the exhaust/backbox then an engine management warning light comes on (over-revving?).
Is this something the dealer can stop, should i fit the exhaust?? Does anyone know of costs involved to change this. I don't want to pay for a £400-odd remap - or is that the only way. Thanks.

Change of backbox alone will not cause a CEL.. you will only get it if you remove the cat in the downpipe or up-pipe AFAIK. If that's what you are doing, you can 'fix' the CEL with an cheap resistor from Maplins, can't say that a de-cat without a re-map won't cause you other issues though
