Question knocklink

have just put in a knocklink, when driving reasonably hard only bottom light is illuminated, no other light is sighted, have tapped the block near the sensor and the first three lights illuminate so i know sensor is working, is this normal for such inactivity of the lights when driving hard cheers mark

Yes mate, that indicates that the car is running well! If all is a ok, you should get very little if any KL activity.

Is the car standard?

The mounting point of these is vital, as regards to calibration out of the box (but in all honesty, I would get it double checked against DET CANS if you want it to be as accurate as possible).

I usually get the first green flickering, with illumination of the 2nd green when on full hammer........ but this doesnt mean anything unless you are sure the unit is calibrated.

Regards,
Shaun.

Shaun appreciate what your saying tryed it at different settings driving it and the tap on the engine block, left it at max sensitivity [belt & braces mode ], as for posistion researched this quite a bit, put it where the majority do in the spare tapped hole on the passenger side of the intercooler

Never got around to it this lunchtime I'm hoping we can wire it up tomorrow now... I'll keep you informed.

I was lucky enough to pick mine up on here second hand.
