Default MAF failure

My dad's just been complaining about his classic sport running badly. I thought it could perhaps be the MAF so unplugged the lead once the car was up to temp and the car continued to idle. As I understand it this indicates MAF failure.

So, can anyone point me in the right direction for a replacement? Not sure if they are the same as the turbo/sti ones hence why I'm asking for help.

It's a my98 model

Cheers,

Brian

Thanks for that Graham, but that thread relates to the turbo model, not the sport model, hence why I was querying if they are the same.

regards,

Brian.
