All of the nasty gasses have been banned and replaced with not so nasty equivilents.. You have to be careful that you use the correct gas though or you will f**k the seals in your A/C system.

Just looking on the halfords website now and they do a can for 40quid. You think that it would be enough to fill a whole system. I had a hose split and all the gas escaped.

and dontforget you need the exact ammount of gas in there for your system.... would it not be worth getting someone in that knows what they are doing.... £75 price springs to mind for what it will cost you, plus if you have had a leak then the system will need to be vacumed (sp) to get all the moisture out of it first before the gas can be added

The gas is fairly harmful if u get it on you're skin, as it will come out in a liquid form so u have to watch what you're doing.

if you have lost gas, system needs evacuating ,pressure testing then deep vacuum before recharging.
refrigerant needs to be weighed in to correct amount.
cans may get system running but not efficiently, as refrigerant charge needs to be right.
you may also have lost oil which i dont think cans contain.prices range from £50 -£100 for recharge ,i normally do it for £45,im sure there will be someone nearby at same price .
