TD04 or TD05?

Hi guys. wanting to speed my spoolup. I have realised that my Meggan headers may give more top end power but are too large in the pipe diameter. I am after more low and midrange power/torque.
So back to my question. I am thinking of refitting my standard manifold after getting it ported and maybee a TD04 for the faster spoolup. I would be looking for a max of 280-300 reliable horses.
Does the above make sence or am I just pissing in the wind?
Current mods are-
Meggan headers.
Full de-cat.
HKS induction kit.
Electronic boost controller.
Fuel cut defencer.
All on a my93 JDM WRX.
Cheers. Mark.

I would stick with the TD05. Much more grunt. A remap should give you quicker spool up. I think you would be one of the first to do a TD05 to TD04 conversion if you did it!

How fast do you want spoolup and what are you getting now? I run a MY95 UK Saloon which has the TD05 as std with revolution 3"dp and system and a few other mods. I get 1bar of boost by 2950rpm and 1.3bar at 3150rpm. I wouldn't recommend a TD04 on your setup.
