Can You Run a scoob with the speedo cable off?

.....Or does it put it in limp home mode, i know it brings on the CEL but does ti actuall enable the Limp mode?

puts it in limp home mode still driveable up to about 4500rpm then it starts to cut boost to save the engine as it has no idea what speed it's doing.
