Default EJ20G Swap into MY00 RS (USDM)

Greetings from Colorado! I was glad to recently discover this forum as there is literally no information in the US regarding the early classics and this forum has been a wealth of information!

I own a 00 2.5RS coupe and am about to purchase a ej20g complete from a jdm V2 STI and peform the swap. I was wondering if you fellows had any advice as far as this motor goes or things I should do before I install it. The motor has 50,000 miles on the clock. I was planning on a new timing belt, wp, spark plugs, and wires. The car has a new Exedy clutch so I am not too worried about that. Are there any other routine maintnence items I should look into?

As far as performance goes I have a 3" dp and 2.5 inch APS exhaust for it but that is it. From the reading I have been doing on this forum it seems to be wise to stick with the factory air box. Would any air filter from say the 02+ wrx's fit this setup or do I need to source something from the UK/Japan? I believe the factory turbo is a TD05-16g but am not positive? As far as tuning goes I was considering purchasing an Apexi Power FC however I doubt anyone around my neck of the woods could tune one. Would it be possible to purchase a map from someone in the UK? I am really not trying to build a monster but just want a reliable 200-250hp at the wheels.

Any tips/advice would be great! Thanks guys
