Default ECutek Tuned MY05 STi

Well where to start ...

Recently did a few extra mods for some more HP and to say the least i'm a little dissapointed.

Where have it gone wrong ? that's what i'm here to ask ...

Local agent tuned my car with Ecutek running on a Dynapack Dyno - ( we made 240kw / 460nm @ +- 21PSI )

I am running the following mods:

HKS Air intake system
HKS Silent Highpower 3" Exhaust system
HKS Fuel Pressure Regulator
Turbosmart dual BOV
Turbosmart eboost 2 EBC
Samco inlet pipe
ECUtek

Forced Performance FP2006 Turbo ( The FP2006 or FPWRX20G features a 44lb minute compressor and huge TDO6 turbine wheel. The FPWRX20G typically produces 350-380WHP with astounding spool up response and efficiency. )

motorsport rated fuel only ( 102.6 RON )
Aquamist 2D Water Injection
Sitting at 1500m ASL
ambient temps around 25deg/c

Basically the following is happening.

The car overboosts in 5th / 6th gear - boost spikes to 24PSi - I was told my EBC is crap :/

The car also give a hesitation on occasion under load. It will come onto boost and jerk for a bit then pull through. I don't think this is good ... Also been indicated that it could be my BOV causing this.

The car is ECutek mapped for around 21PSI. It will spike up to 22PSI and settle at around 19 - 20 PSI at higher RPM. I was also told that this boost "fade" could be attributed to my stock downpipe which isn't the bellmouth type.

If anyone has similar mods - please post me a dyno or some info. It would be much appreciated.

Any suggestions / questions please shoot.

also i find turbos bought from the US to never make their claimed numbers.....

an FP20g isnt that dissimilar to a TD05 20g, and if they say that the FP was supposed to make between 360 and 380 at the wheels thn thats near 500 at the fly, which a 20g can only dream of....

Get rid of the stock downpipe and cat - you'll have horrendous EGBP! Your mapper should have already told you this?! If you need to keep a cat, replace mid-section stock cat with a hi-flow sports cat one. Note that boost profile will change considerably after this, so forget trying to sort boost control until after swapping the downpipe out.

Hesitation coming on boost could be BOV, plugs or poor mapping. Did you have a wideband on it, and what AFR at full load?
