Default 'Resistor chips' - anyone know if they work?

seen the above on popular auction site + says increases power.

though they are not suitable for turbo cars, i was looking at one for my trackday swift gti. looks to me like it just bridges out the air flow sensor + tells ecu that there is more air coming in than there actually is. surely this will just lead to overfueling? will it really make the car any quicker?

your opinions/experiences please!

cheers, dan

My opinion - they're a load of old toss designed to make a quick buck out of thickos.
