Default Re-mapping

Would I need a remap for any of the following:-

1. Replacement panel filter (Green cotton)

2. De-cat Down Pipe

3. Dump valve HKS SSQV

Thanks

A re-map will optimise any modification that effects the engines ability to breathe so ideally yes, however the ECU can and will cope with with minor changes such as yours. I would strongly recommend a KnockLink which may well save your engine one day - check out the GB section as BRD have these on offer at the moment.

Dependant on MY you may experience some boost control issues with the decat downpipe so this needs close monitoring.

Don't bother with the dump valve.

If you're running a classic, yu should be fine with the others, new age may have boost control issues and will most likely require a CEL fix.

A remap would give you much greater gains for your mods. A knocklink is also a good idea as another poster has mentioned.

Echo previous posts, with the downpipe it has been known for boost spikes to occur and if it's a newage you will need a CEL fix as well. The HKS SSQV sounds great and wont leak any boost

Does the HKS SSQV make any difference on the performance?

BHP - no.
Difference in shift time/lag - debatable

Certainly feels different on shifting and I do much prefer it over the OE dv.

What MY car is it?
