Default 06 sti dash start up sequence

Looks mazin just like the start up i have with my defi's, the needles roll round the clocks... The dash pod looks the same, if by chance i was to find one in a brakers yard would the speedo dial pod fit in my my03 sti??? only probs i can think of is...

1 Where is the mileage info stored in the sti, in the clocks or in the ecu???

2 Is the wiring the same for all newage cars???

Would look nice in my car
