Hi
Im thinking of now parting with my99 scooby, after 4great years.but before it goes i will give it full fluids and diff etc change and want to have a new cambelt fitted.I have always mechaniced all of my vehicles from day one,and after my last incident where i let a garage grease the inner diffs on my ur quattro turbo,as i was too busy with work, and then driving home 5miles later the n/s/f wheel collapsed in under the arch cos the mechanic had forgotten to tighten it.Then letting a garage loose on the cambelt goes against my beliefs again.
But i have a spine injury at present which is stopping me to lean and crouch over an engine bay,and i think the next scooby buyer might want a garage receipt for a fitter cambelt for piece of mind.
OK enough rambling, does anyone know of a decent scooby enthiusiast who is resonable priced to supply and fit a cambelt in or around the Bham area please.
Oh and no dealers please,am not interested in having to pay £90 an hour for an 18year old spunk rat to have honour of trying to fit his 1st cambelt and then taking it around the parking area thinking hes colin mcrae
Regards
Gene
