As long as you use original Subaru gaskets you should not have a problem mating it up to the oem headers and should not get any leaking. I am using an aftermarket uppipe with gruppe s v2 headers and have had no problems with leaking so far.

The upipe i have is also solid and the only problem i had was it was a little bit short, so i used longer bolts and have not had problems with leaking at all.

Those are the original V1 version units.
My V2 unit is great and tolerates 1.5 bar.
Good quality parts.

I think the Gruppe S uppipe is 52 diameter and unless you are running a monster turbo this will slug your spool and make response lethargic.
Ideally you need ported headers with an uppipe ported to match.
Speak to a specialist who does this.
