Is it easy to remove the header tank to clean it up?
I want to remove my header tank because its looking abit worse for wear! so want t oget all the rust of spray it up and get it back in has anyone got any tips or diagrams would be good as im not very mechanicaly minded so as much advice would be appreciated! any pics or stuff like that would be grat cheers

You don't say whether it's a classic or newage. The new age is relatively easy. Three pipes on the top, two bolts to the inlet manifold, one nut holding the bottom of the header tank. With these removed you should be able to manipulate the header tank to get the pipe that goes to the engine block. hope this helps Steve

SORRY its a classic my00 uk model! do i just undo and pull of then all the necessary pipes or is there anything else i need to do my main concern is i will take it of clean it then put it back on and start getting faults because ive short cutted the fitting procedure somewhere?

The hosee coming off the back of the header tank can be a pain but not that bad. best thing I can suggest is if you have a digital camera take a few pictures before you undo anything then if you get confused putting it back you can have a look at the pictures you have taken. Just take it easy and carefully.

Need to remove my header tank on a Newage. Once its removed, is it a case of just refitting it and then toppping up the fluid.
Are there any chances of 'airlocks' ?
