Default Identifying classic shocks for spring change.

I'm trying to identify the shocks on my '95 WRX, so that I can look into replacing the springs to increase my ride height and get a softer ride. Can anyone tell me if these shocks are standard Subaru equipment, or aftermarket (as I don't want to order springs that don't fit the shocks) - I've checked them over for a manufacturers name but can't find anything.
I'm hoping that the damping adjustment (4 settings front, 7 rear - I think) will help someone recognise them, they are not height adjustable and are light green in colour. Also, can anyone recommend a good spring package that's not ridiculously hard? Thanks.

They are not std Subaru parts and judging by the colour i'd say they are made by Tein.

Thanks, so standard springs will be unlikely to fit?
The current setup is way too hard. I figure a simple spring change and allignment should sort it. Is that right, or will I end up with mismatched springs/ dampers? Should I find out if the original kit had different spring rate options?
So many questions.....
