Default Which exhaust?

As above, what exhaust system or combination gives the best performance gains over a standard system?

Thank you

Will need some more info mate to best advise - ie which model / what other mods / can you go decat or do you want MOT friendly / how loud do you want it or not / whats your budget..

Options will range from back box only, or decat centre and sports cat, through to a full decat 3 1/2" race system

Sorry lol, its for a 1999 turbo 2000, no other mods. Will be the first mod. Im after a full decat system. Doesnt matter if its loud, aslong as it doesnt loose the impreza burble.

Thanks

Cool - I'm sure someone will be along shortly to recommend various options although these things tend to be heavily based on personal preference.
The favourites tend to be Hayward and Scott or Blitz Nur Spec I think..

btw you know you'll need an ecu upgrade/remap as well ?

...sorry if you know all this already !

H+S 3" open neck down-pipe
magnex non-res decat centre
back-box , well,take yer pick . but afterburner/blitz/H+S/firestorm all seem popular
stick with a 2.5" bore from down-pipe back until you reach 340+ bhp then go for a full blitz 3" bore

Ive heard that the revolution system gives a noticable power gain and is a lot quieter than the blitz so very track friendly.Looks the biz too its a 3" system tho

I have a MY00 UK Turbo, which is being remapped (Tek3) on Saturday by Powerstation.

JR Panel Filter, Ninja Sports Cat downpipe, Magnex resonated centre decat pipe and Magnex 6x4 Oval backbox.

I'll let you know how I get on - I have read no need of a Walbro unless you go over 320bhp ish? Can't remember figure but I'll be happy with 270-280.

The Revolution system gives very noticable gains, sounds good from the outside and is not too noisey inside. On medium power cars it is my preferred system, I have bought several and expect to buy another later this week.

Brilliant, thanks for your advice. Much appreciated. And STIx good luck with the remap, will be good to see what power its running after those mods.

Thank you
