Default Fitting Lamba Sensor:

How easy is it to fit a Lamba Sensor on a 94 WRX Import:
Where will it be positioned: Does it matter if its 3/4 wire:
My son has been told its needs replacing & hes mananaged to source a s/hand for £35, had been quoted £165 for a new one:
Any suggestions would be grateful:

Many thanks in advance

Its located in the headers and is accessable from underneath the car. You'll need to take off the offside header heatshield (you'll see a hole where the sensor passes through) which will probably be a pain if the bolts are rusted up.

Alternatively if your son has an aftermarket decat downpipe (or was thinking of getting one) then there is a thread for it to be located there. In that case I'd leave the old sensor where it is and fit the new one in the downpipe, the lead will stretch to the plug.
