Default Alloys Wheels

I'm looking to buy some 17's (205/40/17) for my 94 wrx, at the moment I have the standard 15's (205/55/15) on there, but how much heavier is the common 17" set of alloys likely to be than my standards, weight is definately an issue.

Also would 205/40/17 be a good choice?

cheers

u can get some alloys that r extra light weight ones, that place called wheel base, has some which are multispokes, they may be lighter than the ones you have on at the mo.

205/45/17 is the prodrive size, however many use 215/40/17 due to availability and cost.

The 15s are very light, but the MY01 OE 17" are not a heavy wheel for the size. Oz superleggera (sp) are lighter (and hard to get hold of these days) and Volks rays are very light for the size, but expensive.

I don't have the weights handy but I'm sure they are a google away
