COULD THE ENGINE NOT START BECAUSE OF PIPES MISSING??

been cheking my 93 wrx over today as i ent been able to start it and found that there is no power going the coil packs i did my own little test by taking 1 coil pack out and plugging a spare plug into it and holding next to some metal but i had no spark showin. what could cause this?

with no intercooler on the car will not run. it may fire and then cut out. The pipe from the turbo? do you mean the one that has the maf connected to it? if so your maf will not be registering any air going into the engine. So again will not run (probably will not start)

with the IC off the engine will suck air through the throttle body, you might as well stick the MAF in the boot

You could do a check for error codes think that would work without the engine running. See if it throws up any sensors
to be honest I would get a mechanic to look at it. No disrespect intended.

got the car to start today left it runing for about 3 minutes then it cut out again and wouldnt start so cheked all the plugs. they was soaked in petrol so cleaned them up put them back in it fired up again for about 30 seconds then cut out cheked plugs again and they was coverd /soaked in petrol what could be causing my engine to flood
