sti information?????

helllo i am new member there
i desperately need information on stis
i am in uk
and i went to had a look at sti today
i dont know much about these cars
so is there any tips you all lot would like to give me????
it has a geniune sti engine import
but how would i know its a geniune engine???
all i know is stis be red top engine???
and what thinks shoudl i check before buying anf of these cars???
and that guy took me for a ride but while he was driving hard and i could smell oil???
he goes its normal on these cars is that true???
and it has a blitz dump valve which sound bit weird to me???
any tips pls???

Smell of oil isn't good on any car. AFAIK it's never been a design feature of Subarus LOL

well i have heard that turbo is very close to the driver seat its like right infront of the driver seat and you smell some thing burning when you put the heater on??? is that true

Hi if you need help on wether the car is a genuine sti or not you can email me on dvd.man@btinternet.com if you can supply me with the applied model code, option code and engine and transmission numbers which can be found on the vin tag i can confirm what model it was when it left the factory in japan.

You shouldnt smell anything burning, what model is it being sold as? (version 2/3/4 etc or reg) a little more info on what your looking for would help or what your looking at even ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
