Downpipe Advice
I'm going to be getting myself a decat down pipe from scoobyworld I notice there pipe as with most come with a lambda sensor at the top.
But the thing is on my standard down pipe there is another sensor near the bottom of the down pipe .
My question is I notice the the decat down pipe from scoobyworld and other places does not come with this sensor hole so;
1; What is this sensor for?
and
2; will I need to plum it in else where or can I just disconect it?
Thanks in advance guys

The second sensor is called an EGT, it is a sensor that moniters the teperature of the cat in the down pipe, if the cat gets too hot it will interperet it as been on fire (Cat on fire sensor).
As you will be taking the Cat out with the decat pipe this sensor will become useless, you can either tape the sensor up and forget about it or get a 2.2 ohm (may differ through model but a search will highlight correct resistor) resistor from maplins for pennies and connect it to the unplugged sensor connection so that it is fooled into thinking the sensor is still in place and working.
Either way will be fine and you should not get a warning light on your dash. However i would sway toward bridging the sensor with a resistor as it seems the better option although it aint needed.
