im coming upto 156000 miles
and was thinking is there a good oil for a engine that has covered this amount of miles
my car is a 94 uk turbo
still on the original engine aswell
its running 16 psi boost if that makes any difference

Any good semi synthetic oil, 10/40 is the norm, unless shes been run on fully synth all her life then keep her on that diet, though you will not get any benefit from going to a fully synth oil at that mileage if she hasnt been before.

Unless it's drinking the stuff, stick with what you have.
If its being burned up due to engine wear, then maybe swap for something a little thicker like 15w50.

If thats an original engine I wouldnt recommend running a fully synth because they are generally too thin for an engine with that kind of wear. Stick with 10w40 semi, or move onto a 15w40 semi if your paranoid, just remember a thicker oil might be good for the engine at that kind of mileage but it wont be good for the turbo.
