MAF and check code 23 - any advice for me?

I have an STi v4 Type R, which I bought 1 month ago. It's been running a bit rough at times and the revs hunt around a bit when at idle. I checked for codes today and got 23. That's MAF.
I'm rather scared because I heard when the MAF fails the engine will blow up and it was only rebuilt in October.
Should I change the MAF now and ask questions later, or are there other things I should do? Should I avoid driving the car?
Finally, can anyone recommend a place to buy a replacement MAF?
Thanks
David

Hi mate,i had maf failure a few months ago and my revs were all over the place
. But i didnt want to pay £300 for a new one so i managed to get one of ebay for £30 (bargain). Try ebay mate, although you are buying a used one and that's a chance your taking but im very happy with mine!
