As far as i'm aware, you'll only really be able to use the short motor, but no doubt you'd be able to seel on the rest of the bits, (heads, turbo etc etc) the STI will have variable valve timing, and therefore that won't work on th my00....... but if it's a good price.... do it, if it's too much... rebuild your own motor.,.... or get someone such as API to do it for you......

edited to ask..... any mods on the car??? i have a my00 with 46k odd on the clock now.....

anyway, the amount of time you drive that car instead of it being in a warm garage is minimal...so dont worry

Tony, i aim to drive it much more, and much harder this summer, have no fear.....
Oh and any (cough)BMW(cough) garage will be pleased to sell you a lip......

Mmm.... ppp 'and' open neck...... a lot of people have had trouble with this combination.... boost spikes.... mind you, the dawes should stop that a bit.....

Sorry to hear of your woes...... i'm sure it'll get better if you throw enough money at it..... or plastic..

Thumbs up

Got a STi ver4 shortblock forsale... developed a noisey bottom end bearing...
Minimum, probabley gonna want a crank, bearings replacing... may be able to save the steel rod which the bearing spun in???
Got Wiseco pistons fitted... its all apart for inspection if your interested???
I'm going for 2.3 so have no need for it...
May end up building it back up if nobody's interested in it...
