What oil following rebuild and running in?
A few questions about oil, and no I'm not wanting to know about whether to use 10w60.
Bottom end rebuilt (new bearings, pistons, rings etc) just under 1000 miles ago. Half way through that it had recon heads because of a valve problem. Running in at the moment on Castrol GTX 'high mileage' oil 10w40. It's soon due an oil change so the question is, do I stick with the mineral 'high mileage' stuff, do I go to a semi synthetic 10w40 or even 50? Or do I stop messing about and go straight to the fully synthetic 15w50 that I'm planning on using for the next 100k miles?
BTW one thing to note is that it is about to have a VF35 remap with a target of around 300bhp, and I'm not that happy about the idea of running the turbo and mapping an engine on mineral oil! But what do I know? That's why I'm asking.
