AFR gauge readings - confused.
Just got my AFR wired up today to a brand new O2 sensor (thanks Rally Colin!).
Driving home I was keen to see that I wasn't running lean. What I found is that the reading dances all over the place most of the time. At idle it can be off the bottom of lean! Any tiny adjustment in accelerator position makes it jump around anywhere from rich to lean. Generally speaking, lifting off makes it go more lean, putting your foot down makes it go richer.
The only time the reading stabilizes is if significant throttle is used (and therefore any boost), where the reading immediately shifts to middle way through the rich band.
Is all this normal?????
Thanks
David
