Not sure. I know a guy that took a 94 uk wagon to 480 bhp once. Wasnt too nice a sounding ride though. The transmittion sounded like it was in pain!

I have a tin of red paint if you want it. 100% it will not add any bhp

Some of the early STis had plain manifolds but most STis have a red top or red inlet manifold. In OE form STi engines generally produce a bit more than the WRX engines which do not have a red top manifold.
No OE STi produces 350 bhp in standard form.
There will be lots of engines without a red inlet manifold that produce well over 350 bhp.
I hope this helps you.

You won't be able to get over 350hp as it stands, but not because of the colour of the manifold! The MAF sensor will only read airflow up to an equivalent of around 350hp, so with a PowerFC for instance you would need to look at a new MAF sensor. You could also look at an alternative ECU, but you will have long past the flow requirements of the standard injectors. Either way, 350hp is about all I would recommend running a standard engine at of that age, people have run more, but there have been failures.
