Default apexi or ecutek? modded my00

starting to swap bits on the car as ive nearly got everything i need for my upgrade
car is my00 wrx jdm wagon, changing to a open necked decat front pipe, resonated jdm center to tone down th noise slightly, miltek rear silencer, ported headers and Harvey up pipe, newage 2004 wrx intercooler, front entry converted td05 ,walbro pump, breathers already diverted to a catch can.....

now originally id intended to have a ecutek remap carried out,but have the chance to purchase an apexi with commander...was originally fitted to a v5 (1999) RA STI but currently on a my99 uk turbo wagon... currently mapped by a certain member on here to run a vf28 h+s decatted downpipe prodrive rear silencer and set for 1.3 bar.....now would this apexi be suitable for my car,or should i still plump for the ecutek? which system is best for the later classics?.... i know who mapped the apexi so would approach him to tweak it for my particular spec, but am unsure as to which system is the best to invest in..... dont really want to lay out the cash to find out later i picked the wrong system.... was under the impression i couldnt run a non jap spec ecu on my car,but this unit has been fitted on both uk and jdm cars with no problem

martin

edited as id forgoten some upgrade bits

If you don't intend any further mods then go for the ECUTEK.
If you want more mods the Apexi offers more flexibility IMHO. There's quite a bit of knowledge around for the Apexi, so in the long term could work out cheaper then paying an ECUTEK dealer each time.
