Hi all

I have noticed a very slight oil leak on my car, just wondered if you have any ideas what it could be and how much to get sorted

The car has done over 70K and i guess you are gonna get the odd leak with cars that old etc, but ideally i would like to sort it if poss

Are we supposed to guess where it's coming from? A few more details might get you an answer that's on the money.

 

Its from the engine somewhere, im no mechanic :-)

How do i find out where its coming from, as i have only seen some oil on the floor to know it is leaking, and its not alot, so i doubt id see it coming out as it were

if its from the front then its probably the crank seal if it looks like its coming from under the turbo then its probably the rocker cover gasket, i get them all the time and to be honest i dont bother with them anymore as they always seem to go about 1k miles later, just keep a check on the oil
