Default FMIC bolts and brackets not needed?

I purchased a FMIC kit from www.subaru.org.uk for my classic STI v3.

When I opened the box there were no bolts or brackets to attach the FMIC to the front cross bar I asked the vendor about it and got the following reply.

"The way the kit is installed with only 4 pieces means it’s solid enough not to need brackets to install"

I am not very comfortable with this but would like to Know if any one has installed these units without any brackets?

I would like to know what size bolts I should get to use in the mounting of the FMIC and if someone could give me a sketch of the brackets so I can make some up.
