Default What exhaust and who's remap ??

Hi

What exhaust should i have fitted on my06 2.5 sti uk ??
and who should map it ??

choices i have are 3" turbo back exhaust k&n pannel filter and remap
been told i can get 340bhp quite easy from these mods but who do i get to do it ??

i've heard andy f's the best. So thats who im gonna get to map mine.. I'd take a wide berth of the second one you mention as my engine needed rebuilding after a trip there!!

I'd go AndyF if you can afford it (IIRC £650 +VAT, + travel expenses).

Otherwise I'd go to Powerstation, they did mine and I'm well happy with it.

Er, I'm not allowed to post prices but I can say thats around 30% higher than actual prices.

exhaust wise if i was doing a turbo back i'd go for the aps 3.5" not too dear either at £700 ish for the who lot.

Be careful with the exhaust, in our testing we found that the boost was almost out of the control of the ECU with a 2.5" system fitted. With a 3" and minimal back pressure you may even see 340bhp with the boost turned off!!
Needless to say, the engine may not last very long like that.

From your location it might be easier to use Bob Rawle in Swindon.As somebody has already mentioned his company is BR Developements.I have personally met the guy and his knowledge is obvious.His username on ScoobyNet is his name.

Well thanks ive spoken to Andy f tonight and he will be mapping it in may

i will change th e fuel pump and pannel filter myself
but and a big BUT

What exhaust de cat or not 3" or 3.5"
magntex dont make one yet nor milltek what about h & s ??

Speak to Roger Clark Motorsport, they have a good system for these cars that maps up well without changing anything else more than the fuel pump. Boost control is still good with it as well. (least thats how I find them)

Piston ring lands are chocolate so care has to be taken but they do go well when done.
