Started car this evening ,turned key car fired up then cut straight out
.Then check engine light came on, fird her up again and it was ok ,stopped of at a friends house on the way home ....got back into car after visiting and same thing happened again?
any suggestions to what might cause this

Well you could do a search on Google ;-)

Might be the crank sensor if its a non start. But its Best to read the codes (or get someone to read them) as this will probably be cheaper in the long run than guessing and changing parts that are still servicable.
