Default Link has to go

I have had it with poor tickover associated with my Link.
I'm dumping it and getting else - but what ?
Any recommendations ?
Have to be similar to the Link as don't have a MAF anymore

I recently got rid of my Link for the same reason. Just purchased a power fc and going to give that a try.

What is the problem with the idle specifically?

has someone tried to sort it for you?

The engine races - 2000 rpm at traffic lights etc - It will gradually fall off to 800 rpm , but it takes a good 3-4 minutes and then off to the next set of lights !!!!!!!!!It attracts attention I don't need

I think the Link is a heap of crap to be honest - Maybe ok if dragging or track , but for every day use - forget it.

I'm off to NZ at the weekend and I might track down the manufacturers if in the area I'm working - New Plymouth.

Any ecu is only as good as the person mapping it, imho.

Also running a Link on MY00 and no such problems. Speak to a mapper and get the problem fixed would be my advice.

Of the other options Apexi seems very popular at the moment. Check the Group Buy section.

Mine was really well mapped but it still idled at 2000 on a regular basis. Also when started from cold sometimes the revs would shoot upto 2000/3000 as soon as it fired up, not good on an ice cold engine not driven for a week or two ...

Bob mapped mine and zero problems even after sprinting it or starting on a cold morning with 1/2 a foot of snow.

I think Rob has the chip set with the idle bug in it, took me ages to get Link to even look into it.

Nothing wrong with my Links Idle. That's cos Bob mapped it originally.

The only thing I've fiddled with since is to make it ahem "more on the edge"
