Not a good thing at all if the fuelling/advance hasnt been altered to suit (being as it has just been imported, this is doubtful, as at best it will be mapped for Jap fuel).
Even then, the turbo will be screaming it's **** off to provide that level of boost (if all is standard)

It has a bosst controller or the ecu has been chipped. Check for any unusual looking pipework in the engine bay which may lead you to a boost controller, or take the cover off the ecu in the passenger footwell and see if there is an extra chip soldered in (think it fits in the bottom right of the ecu). If it's been chipped it will probably not appreciate uk fuel much.

mine runs 1 bar and spikes to 1.4-1.5 on occasion.
Its happen on tesco 99 everyday and that with octane boost on track.
Its done 10k miles, 1 UK track day and over 25 laps of the nurburgring like it too![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

at 1.5 bar it cant be standard thats just over 21 psi which is more than the fuel cut I believe which i think is set around about the 17psi mark. It could just be that the boost gauge is rubbish and giving false readings. Best thing though is to get it to a specialist to take a look at

You haven't told us whay MY the car is. Either way its boosting way over OE, but some of the 'extra chip' in the ECU comments may be irrelevent
