Engine misfire accelerating uphill
I was driving home on Friday after work and accelerated up hill in 4th at ~70mph.
My CEL light flashed for 30 secs, then came on solid, then flashed for 30 secs, then came on and stayed on.
I wasn't too worried at the time because it's done it before and it's gone away after leaving the car off for a few hours.
However this time it was still on in the morning so I took the car to Subaru in Northampton and they ran a diag check, an engine misfire was logged in the error log but the rest of the diags checked ok.
The car is running ok on boost but is occasionally a bit lumpy off boost when accelerating.
The CEL has flashed 4 or 5 times before but never logged a fault (I've had the log checked a couple of times following it coming on). It's also never stayed on overnight before.
Any ideas?
MY01 WRX, ecutek remap, HKS panel filter, H&S backbox, Magnex centre pipe, walbro 255 fuel pump. 38k miles, fully serviced.

I had CEL come on last week in similar circumstances - normally accelarating hard in 3rd gear up hill or onto motorway. Subaru garage mechanic plugged in diagnostic machine and only error logged was "misfire on cylinder 3" - and apparently the common cause is "faultly neutral position switch". So had it replaced for £71 inc. VAT. No further CEL activity - so far, so good.
Do a search on Check Engine Light - lots of threads and the neutral switch issue crops up a few times.
