Heat Wrap (again)

Heat Wrap (again)
Folks,
No this is a common question but following a search i'm still unsure.
Firsty, will 25 foot by 2 inches be enough heat wrap for a decat downpipe on a newage?
Secondly - I'm putting on a classic up-pipe as it doesn't have a cat, it has the heatshielding in place, is it worth wrapping over that or am i talking rubbish, if so how much more wrap would i need?
Once you wrap and put on the steel cable ties do you need to paint it or anything as i've seen some people have.... ?

Just to help you out...
25' should be enough for the downpipe. You will see quotes of <2 x 25'> but these are referring to wrapping tubular headers and the up-pipe.
I wrapped my cat-less up-pipe, but this was a Gruppe-S flexi version, and I didn't wrap the flexi part.
The VHT paint spray is used to seal the wrap and attempt to protect it from the elements. If you do not paint the wrap it is likely to fall apart much faster than if it was painted. The cost of the paint (and the extra time taken) is miniscule in relation to the price/time of the wrapping.
