Does the Group Buy guage require a hole in the inlet manifold to take a probe ?

Yes you can tap a boss or tap your coller, its the safest and mose effective way of fitting the sensor

I looked into inlet temp gauges and this is the by far the best in terms of quality. As its a wire probe, there is no need for drilling etc, just slip btw intercooler and manifold piping... http://www.nomadracing.com/catalog/p...products_id=44

Jaycar do a dual probe gauge - not as neat as group buy (it's a meter), but it uses standard k-type probes which can be fitted under pipework. Dual probe is good if you're looking at seeing what mods make what differences.
