I'm slowly gathering parts to up the power when I'm able to get the car off the road.
So far I have (or will have):
Apexi Power FC
Walbro 190lph pump
STi 3 Intercooler
K&N Panel filter
Std UK phase 1.5 engine
Open neck downpipe
2.5" system
What turbos would be most suited to this set up and anything ive missed?

TD05 18G would be nice and my choice with that set up..
also might be worth if you haven't already bought the fuel pump to get the 255lph version

18g is about 900~1000 depend on whether reconned or new.. from Andy Forrest, Zen Performance or Lateral Performance..
Reason I jumped back to 16g is you would need to replace the injectors and ideally the fuel pressure regulator (can get away with running original fuel pressure reg if on a tight budget) to run the 18g.
STi3 intercooler is up to the job on 16g no problem, 18g it would cope but may want to consider front mount or bigger top mount in the further.
Depends on your power goals.
Yes I do supply/map/fit Apexi PFC.
What year is it and what Turbo were / are you running now?

On a budget unfortunately because i think a new short engine will be in order soon due to mileage and piston slap. 16G sounds good but are any of the sti IHI turbos worth considering to save a few spondoolies? Car is MY97 UK std turbo.

Sorry to but in, but I've got a similar question. My car is a std V4 Type R, but with a full 2.5" decat and a Walbro 255 fuel pump. Paul @ Zen has said he'd expect 290-300bhp after a remap, which I was happy enough with, as I can't afford approaching £1000 for a new turbo.
However, I'm liking the sound of £300 for a VF35
With my spec, how much more power would that give than my std turbo, and would the lag be the same?
Thanks.

Type R v4 runs a VF24 or very similar (they vary sometimes) whcih is not really any different powerwise to the VF35 so not worth the expense of changing it.
