Default Lamda sensor plug

How do you get the lamda sensor plug apart without trashing it with a pliers?? I trying to remove the downpipe off my 97 uk car and all is dandy. Except I cant get the lamda sensor plug apart. Anyone please!! I'm just about to put it all back together again as without disconnecting this plug I can't complete the job. (I've tried unscrewing the lambda and twisting the lead but its to short and will break).

Anyone got any pics???

Thanks

There should be ridge and loop that lock together, take a close look at the connector and try and locate this, use a small screw driver to prize the loop from the ridge then pull like a ****.
