Will my engine start with no afm?

Default Will my engine start with no afm?

Im trying to get my just rebuilt engine to start but i have no intake pipe as i've put a VF 34 on it and need to make one up. So what i want to know is should it start with no afm on it as its trying?

The car will start but die straight away due to no afm.

Yeah thats what its doing. Im going to have to get some elbows and make a intake up then
