uk 2.5 sti ,us 2.5?

uk 2.5 sti ,us 2.5?
Just wondering whether the new uk sti 2.5 engine is exactly the same as the us 2.5 engine.As i've seen the us being run at 400bhp with no problems but have been told that you shouldn't push the uk sti 2.5 more than 330bhp?
Is the us engine strengthened?
