Default Spanked the SCOOB!!!

Well I came off a slip road too fast on to a roundabout a couple of weeks ago, 180'd and finished up with a lamp post in my engine bay! -s*** happens-

Anyway after some ludricus quotes i decided to make a start by stripping the damaged components today...

The damage i can see so far is:

front bumper (obvious)
Bonnet (really obvious)
grille (smashed)
radiator and fans (really bent)
a/c condenser (really bent)
Main front panel or bit that bonnet shuts onto (twisted and bent in the middle)
Main front panel that the headlights, wings etc fix to (twisted and bent mainly in the middle)

The main structure seems straight as all the doors open properly, all the gaps look the same and the wings are untouched.

Whats confusing me is how the front of the car is put together so i can work out exactly what i need to replace and then how, I have taken pictures of the car with all the damaged bits removed - apart from the a/c condenser (need to discharge) and body items.

How many body parts does the front of the car consist of? The front looks like it comes away as one section???? does anyone have a diagram.

This would be a great help.

cheers
Andy

The wings look pulled in slightly, simple enough fix though if you have a welder, a grinder and a nice big hammer ...

Your a lucky boy (well depending on which way you look at it)..

You could probably get away with repairing the front pannel (the bit the head lights sit in, and the bumper cross member bolts to), The slam pannel is dead though so is the bumper and cross member.

P.S. dont fancy selling that air duct since you've got a after market air filter??

Yeah, that front panel does look quite bad though... where is the best place to get these body panels, any ideas - online etc??

By the way i think i'll keep the air duct as i really want to change back to the original item - guy who had the car before me fitted the ole K&N!

probably not online...
You should be able to get headlight panels, top crossmember and bottom crossmember new.
No point me quoting names as I think the panel places round here are only a local concern.

Try the yellow pages under car accessories.
