Fuel cut again.

Fuel cut again.
Hi guys.
OK. Thats it. I have had enough of the fuel cut on my 93 JDM WRX.
I have tried a number of things but none work. FCD made the car run rough. Hybrid boost controller did not work at raising the fuel cut as I thought (it is excellent at controlling boost though).
Here is my final idea before the car goes.
I intend to remove the vacuum/boost hose from the MAP sensor (this will totally remove the fuel cut). Fit an Apexi SAFC to sort out the fueling throughout the rev range. And obviously keep the electronic boost controller.
Will this work or am I just pissing in the wind?
I would welcome some constructive comments on this please. If you are just going to spout the usual 'dont do it' party line without justifying your comment then please don't bother (unfortunately there seems to be a growing number of this breed on here).
Thank you for reading this long and frustrating post.
Regards. Mark.

The fuel cut is there for a reason, as I am sure you know, playing outside the ecu parameters is not a good thing. If you want more then maybe remap,, or,,
Had rough running with my FCD, wire the power to permanent 12v if you haven't already. Found mine to work better after permanent 12v feed but it is only set one off norm, didn't respond well set any lower.
Don't know about disconnecting hoses as a cure for anything except more problems. Power FC...?

Disconnecting the MAP sensor hose will flag a CEL as soon as you fire up. The ECU expects to see a certain voltage generated from the MAP sensor which will be incorrect if there is no vacum at idle.
An FCD should work if fitted correctly. Map Sensor wire is B43 Pin 4.
also make sure you are picking up 12V not 5V if the FCD runs off 12V.
