Wink Spend my money

I need some offerings of inspiration from you

I have a MY02 STI currently 340bhp at 1.2 bar, but i'm already acustom to its power . To spice it up i'm changing my mods to make way for a FMIC and new induction kit, as my ARC Super Induction Box will no longer fit. Mods already are 3" decat, HKS boost control, HKS Fcon ECU, 255 fuel pump, HKS iridium plugs and HKS BOV. What turbo would you recommend for this setup along with the FMIC and new intake and for what power might i expect to run with a longevity considered as fairly important ? Do I need to be considering injectors as well?

Any input appreciated

Increase fuel pressure and be safer running regular plugs as iridium ones can break and cause engine damage. Turbo has to be Td05 either 18g for mid range or 20g for ***** out top end. Your Hks ecu is not needed at this stage as standard ecutek re map would have done and still retained the safety parameters. Injectors are okay for this level of tune but increase of fuel pressure is necessary.

The HKS ECU worked out the same price as a ECUTek system with a discount i was givern with the tuning company and i like my brand names . Will the TD05 20g on this setup be good for 360+ ish? What will it feel like on a 2.0l STI any significant lag?

Cheers

Yes the td05 20g will be good for the power you are looking for 360+. It will be a little laggy in comparison to the 18g but then that will not meet your outright power target. Depends on what you really want the 20g will probably only get into its stride above 4000 rpm but will hold boost to the red line.

Are there any other turbos similar to the TD05 20g for comparison and alternative option?

Cheers for your help

Only viable alternatives would be the Vf hybrids from turbo dynamics or something from Garret, but both options will be more expensive . For the money little can touch the TD05 range.
