Default how many cats
just a quick question, how many cats does a wrx exhaust have? i know there is one on the down pipe but there is a box just b4 the centre section which ive been told is a silencer. is this true?

A year would help, classics have 2, downpipe and centre.
new age have 3

My old MY95 WRX had two before decatting - downpipe and centre?

The parts of a 52 plate WRX exhaust are:-

Uppipe (1st Cat)
Downpipe (2nd Cat)
Centre Cat Pipe (3rd Cat)
Centre resonator pipe
Back Box.

This picture shows the all sections apart from the uppipe.

The uppipe is connected to the turbo.
