Default fuel

ive been doing some reading on the fueling issue and was wondering what octane rating a 95my uk turbo 2000 is mapped to,is it 97 ron or 95 ron?? can the uk cars run fine on 95 ron or will it have to be 97 (as it says on fuel flap super gasoline only)?? have been running mine on 95 ron with no probs (touch wood) but am thinking of just using 97 now as performance was improved on 97??

i used to use my import on 95 at least once a week with no difference in knock activity, only a difference in performance. (car is a daily driver and distance dictated that I would be nearly on empty after arriving at work and local stations only have regular unleaded) This was with a standard japanese U8 ecu at the time. Did generally use 97 or greater though

I used the 95 octane, and that blew my engine, I have no doubt about it. I think it's usable, yes, but when doing a moderate driving. If you push hard you car you may have a bad luck like I did. So now a days, I only use 100 octane gasoline

Best Regards
