where to start lol! had head gasket problem which has taken 9 bloodys weeks for garage to sort! anyways gets car back (93 imprt wrx) and now has more problems now then when it went in!! the problem list!!..

1) when breaking and also going round a round about or over a speed hump there's a loud screeching noise! wont to it in reverse tho and when on a lift with all 4 wheels free wheeling! only when driving forwards! another local garage cant find what's the cause and have been told to take it to subaru dealer!!

2) oil leaking from o/s lower camshaft pully!! i think?? camshaft oil seal??

3) no turbo power! the car is flat as hell! cant even hear turbo spooling up anymore! dump valve still blows tho? found a big split in air intake pipe where the standard dump valve was...now were blankin plug is!! would this cause the above problem? or could it be my boost solaniod? as this was making a ticking noise when reving whilst touching the solaniod?

1) stone wedged in brake disc area?

2) cam cover gasket, common problem - do a search

3) I'd double check all the boost solenoid connections and all intake pipes

 

You'll be lucky to find a dealer that will touch it!

AS Performance is your best bet

 

Problem one is likely to be the backing plate fouling the disk, I had the same problem on one of my earlier Imprezas. A simple adjustment of the plate will alleviate this problem. Problem two I think you have explained yourself. Problem three will be as a result of the split because all your boost is leaking and not going into the engine! Ticking boost solenoid is not terminal so don't worry about that. Hope this helps.
