Default cars running like a bag of sh1te

right here we go, i need some help with a problem on my car. i'll start from the beginning.

i have had the car of the road for about 6 weeks whilst i fixed new discs and pads on front and new exhaust from downpipe back.

i also bought an earthing kit from scoobynet live, and although a total bitch to fit, is now on and tightened up properly.

ever since this has been done and the cars been on the road again (for about a week now) it has been running like a bag of sh1te.

when first starting the car it seems very lumpy although it idles ok, on very low accleration it seems slightly hesitant, but when in full flow it flies like a good un.

there are no warning lights or anything like that.

i am told that the ecu has to reset itself when the battery is disconnected for any length of time and wondered if it could be this.

it's really starting to p1ss me off now and would like to get it sorted asap, i dont want it blowing up on me or anything like that so if anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

the car is a MY94 wrx sti version 1 wagon by the way

Try joining the green/black wires under the dash and read the fault codes if any.
