Default Cylinder head Gasget

Right think my head is gone but want to make sure. 96 Import
Car temp seems fine but will rise up to full every now and then.
On my expansion tank the cap has a button, when pressed hot steam skwirts from the water bottle filler overflow tube.
Stange thing is the car runs fine and there is now imulsified water in the oil.
Also will running the car like this cause any permanent damage until I can get it sorted.
Can the heads be removed without taking the engine out.

Thanks
Mark

If there is water in the oil then the oil will loose viscosity and damage will occour, get it checked out.

P.S. there are two heads and two gaskets
