had the engine out and now i have a loud noise (auto import)
i bought a wrx import auto with fubar head gaskets the engine was silent it just used water and overhet, i removed the engine fittd new gaskets and put the engine back in the water problem is fixed but i now have a loud noise sounds simaler to a tappet but it only comes about 2 1/2k upwards and i think it could be comoming from the bell housing maybe?i'm thinking of changing the car to a manual just to try and resolve this problem has anyone came across this before? p.s the torque converter bolts are tight. also i have noticed the power light on the dash is coming on now when it starts and go's back out once started for a sec however this could have done this previosly and i may not have noticed. thanks
